Bismarck Public Schools is accepting applications for an elementary English Learner Instructional Aide for the 2026-27 School Year.

 

This position may require some travel throughout the day. EL Instructional Aides will work under the direction of an English Learner Resource Teacher, as well as a classroom teacher or teachers, helping multilingual students with content area curricula. 

 

This position will work 5.5 hours per day and follows the school calendar.

 

Purpose Statement
The role of Instructional Aide II involves providing a variety of complex support processes to the instructional program within and outside the assigned classroom. The primary responsibilities include assisting and designing the instruction of students who spek multiple languages, observing and documenting student academic and emotional progress, implementing instructional plans, and making recommendations for improved care and instruction.

Work Environment
Perform job functions that require significant lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling, some climbing and balancing, and significant stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and fine finger dexterity. The job generally involves 30% sitting, 35% walking, and 35% standing. Work in conditions with exposure to risk of injury or illness.
