Bismarck High School is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to serve as the Head Boys' Hockey Coach. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and mentoring student-athletes, fostering a positive team culture, and developing players' skills both on and off the ice.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive hockey program that aligns with the values and goals of Bismarck High School/Bismarck Public Schools.
- Plan and execute engaging and effective practice sessions that focus on skill development, strategy, and teamwork.
- Provide leadership and guidance to student-athletes, promoting sportsmanship, discipline, and academic excellence.
- Evaluate player performance and provide constructive feedback to support individual growth and team cohesion.
- Coordinate with assistant coaches, trainers, and other support staff to ensure the overall success and well-being of the team.
- Foster positive relationships with parents, alumni, and the broader community to enhance support for the hockey program.
- Collaborate with school administrators to maintain compliance with all policies, procedures, and regulations governing athletics.
- Represent Bismarck High School/Bismarck Public Schools with professionalism and integrity at all times, both on and off the ice.
- Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance coaching knowledge and skills.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director or school administration.
Please note - Coaches who hold a ND teaching license - wages are reportable to the North Dakota Teacher's Fund for Retirement (TFFR). The employee (coach) will contribute 11.75% of their salary and the District will contribute 12.75%. |
